If you have made a decision to build a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, whether it be alone
or with your family or friends, let me congratulate you on your first step. You may be curious what this is all about or something
drastic in your life may have caused you to take a closer look at who this Jesus fella is. Whatever the case, I find this to
be a simple step and a great journey to Discover God--Discover Yourself.
All you have to do to
accept Jesus Christ is simply ask. Ask God to come into your life and that you wish to make the effort to build a relationship
in ernest. Don't expect the walls to shake and lightening from the sky when this happens or God himself come down and shake
your hand. If this does happen, good for you. If it doesn't do not be disappointed but simply continue to talk and pray
to God about any matter.
What is prayer? Prayer can be done anywhere at anytime.
It is simply talking with God and letting him know your cares, your worries, your ambitions, your dreams, your sadness etc.
Prayer is communication. Talk with God/Jesus as you would a friend. Allow God to help you in your life grow as a
person and walk with you whether rain or shine. Pray with others; pray for others.
Open
up a Bible and read Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. These are called the Gospels of which portray the life of Jesus.
If there is something you do not understand please write us so that we can help you as the Bible can be a complicated book.
The relationship with Jesus comes through the heart and can be amplified by study.
